Bonus Terms Explained
Confused by wagering requirements, rollover, sticky bonuses, or maximum cashout limits?
You're not alone. Here's a plain-English breakdown of the most common bonus terms
used at Malaysian online casinos — so you always know what you're signing up for.
Always read the T&C before claiming any bonus.
Wagering / Rollover Requirement
The number of times you must bet the bonus amount before you can withdraw any winnings
derived from it. Expressed as a multiplier — X10, X15, X20, etc.
Example: Claim a RM200 bonus with X20 wagering = you must wager RM4,000 total
before cashing out.
Maximum Bet During Bonus
When you have active bonus funds, most platforms cap your maximum bet per round or spin.
This prevents exploiting the bonus on high-variance games. The typical cap is
MYR 250 – MYR 500 per bet.
Example: Your bonus T&C caps bets at RM300 per round — placing RM500 could void
your bonus balance.
Game Contribution Rate
Not all games contribute equally to clearing your wagering requirement. Slots typically
count 100%, but table games like Baccarat or Blackjack may only count 10%–20% of each
bet toward the rollover.
Example: RM100 bet on Blackjack at 20% contribution = only RM20 counts toward your
RM4,000 wagering target.
Bonus Expiry
Bonuses don't last forever. Most platforms set a window of 7, 14, or 30 days to
complete the wagering requirement. Unused or unconverted bonus funds are forfeited
once the window closes.
Example: A 14-day expiry means you have two weeks from the bonus claim date to
complete your rollover.
Sticky vs Non-Sticky Bonus
A sticky bonus stays in your account as wagering credit and cannot be withdrawn —
only the winnings derived from it can be cashed out. A non-sticky (or "cash") bonus
is added to your real-money balance and is withdrawable after wagering.
Example: With a sticky RM200 bonus, if you hit RM500 total after wagering, you withdraw
only the RM300 profit — the RM200 bonus itself remains as balance.
Maximum Cash-Out Cap
Some bonuses place a ceiling on how much you can withdraw from bonus-derived winnings,
regardless of how much you've won. This is especially common on free spin and no-deposit
bonuses.
Example: A bonus with a RM2,880 maximum cash-out means even if your bonus winnings
total RM10,000, you can only withdraw MYR 2,880.
